FIRST:
Cut a length of string 2.2 to 2.4 metres long. A thin ribbon or other soft flexible chord that gravity can pull straight will also work.
NEXT:
Tie a weight to one end of the string that’s heavy enough for gravity to pull straight. E.g. an old bolt or nut will do.
LAST:
Measure 1.6 metres from the weight and mark the string. That’s the designer recommended viewing height.
That’s it, you’re done!
To use your hang kit, stick it to the wall so that the weight hangs just above the floor and gravity pulls the string straight. Aligning artwork to the viewing height marker gets the right height, and aligning the edge of an artwork to the cord pulled straight by gravity aligns it straight.
